Education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty, which is Koog-u's mission. We have multiple projects and intiaitves to ensure every individual from a low-income household gets the opportunity of education. Koog-u provides full scholarships covering the education expenses of over 25 students from primary schooling all the way to post graduation degrees. Koog-u has a digital initiative where we procure latptops/tablets, refurbish them in-house, and doneate them to students in need of tech gadgets for learning. Health and well-being is paramount to a sustainable livelihood. Koog-u focuses on catering to the healthcare needs of rural communities by stocking the PHCs with essential medicines, procuring and donating ambulances in strategic health centers, conducting health check-ups, treating patients from low-income households for free, conducting health awareness programs, and many more! Koog-u played a pivotal role during the covid-19 lockdown in various rural villages by co-ordinating health care efforts led by the Koog-u Founder and President Dr. Nandini Keshava.
Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to help the people providing services with the people who need them. Koog-u has strived to develop rural communities in Karnataka beyond the basic needs of health, and education. Koog-u has redeveloped multiple schools, renovated temples, helped in the re-construction of toilets and restoration of sanitation in tribal areas, and has engaged in many more 360 degree community development projects.
